Wardrobe Additions

Today, I have found myself a lovely pair of wide-leg, black dress pants. They look lovely with my point-toed black heels, though they are a few millimeters too long. I might have to get higher heels! *grin*

I have decided that, in protest of the recent and severly unflattering trend in “skinny” jeans and leggings, I will go the route of wide-leg pants. They are extremely flattering, comfortable, and Old-Hollywood stylish. Think Katharine Hepburn, though not quite so high in the waist. *grin* I like my pants slightly below my bellybutton, thank you. They also, ironically, happen to be fashion-acceptable, as both skinny jeans and wide-leg pants are currently on the runways.

But really, only Audrey Hepburn can pull off the skin-tight pant, and only with flats, not these ugly stacked heels people keep going about in.

Skinny jeans are only acceptable if you are going to wear them under a nice, tall boot.

  • i know! the wide-leg pants are arguably one of the most versatile must-have clothing in anyone’s wardrobe. skinny people don’t stay skinny forever now, what with having babies and all… if you visit my blog, don’t forget to read my list of fashion faux pas!

…….may I add ” only for those with small or slim bottoms?”

I’ll stick on to my ever loyal wide leg pants….

  • oops… something went wrong there. sorry.
